Introduction To Bengbu

Bengbu Is located near the Huaihe River and was known as Pearl City in the ancient times for its abundance of clams. Under its jurisdiction，there are three counties, i.e. Huaiyuan, Wuhe and Guzhen, four administrative districts and two developing zones, with the overall land area of 5917KM2. It has the urban area of 601.5KM2 and the population of 3.43 million in which the urban population is 0.9 million.

Bengbu is one of the key north-to-south junctions of communication in China and at the crossing of Beijing-Shanghai Railway and Huainan Railway. Here the highways connect all the directions, having the total mileage up to 1276KM. Some Expressways, i.e. Hefei-Xuzhou，Bengbu-Nanjing，Jieshou-Fuyang，104 National road and 206，207，306 and 307 Provincial roads are through the urban zone and the passenger flow in Bengbu is at the heading in Anhui. Bengbu Port is the largest one on the Huaihe River. Bengbu has the International railway combined transportation and can achieve the Railway－Sea Combined Transportation．Bengbu New Airport is only 6 Km away from the Bengbu High／New Tech Industrial Development Zone.
